Was looking for a cheap bike to use for the summer. One if the employees sold me their personal bike for cheap. Did a free tune-up on it and installed a luggage rack. Owner is a nice helpful guy who let me pay with credit card even though it was a private sale to his employee. Seems like a great little shop.
I took my bike to Ashmont Cycles for a basic tune-up and cleaning in early November 2015. Two weeks after this event, I got my bike back in better shape and cleanliness than when I took it there. We have a bike shop in the North Shore where I live but I must say this is one of the best experiences and lowest cost facilities for a mountain bike shop I've have in a long time. Every time I look at it, I'm looking at it like it was the first time. The staff there is friendly, professional and offer useful tips to make the whole trip well worth it. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!!
Dont bring your bike here...was first told 95 dollars for tune up and some cables.then they call and say another 55 because the axle is broken.. When I get there to pick it up the brake is still not fixed and they charged me another 20 dollars for that saying they said they might have the part ..i called Anderson bike in Quincy and they quoted me a lower price for the same work. I walked away with an overall feeling that i was taken advantage of
Great service; I think they're a tad pricey. Jack knows bikes though and they are super helpful.
